BASIC QUESTION: Im looking at buying a motor scooter instead of a car for the purpose of getting to work which is a 10 mile trip each way, which motor scooter is the best to buy(brand) and why? Are their any special law’s I should be aware of? Parking? Hazard’s? Maintiance? How long do they usally last? Any info?

Hi I recently bought a recreational motor scooter from my friend i got to use it for about 10 minutes then the back tire blew so i fixed that and it worked fine for another 10 minutes … it wouldn’t start so i took it over to my uncles because hes a mechanic and was told to order a spark plug and corroborator "the corroborator didn’t appear to be pumping gas into the engine" I installed the new parts and it’s still not starting so i figured it could be because i used marine 2 stroke oil instead of scooter 2 stroke?

I did a full cleaning on it to remove all dirt and dust on it and it runs but now if i stop holding the accelerator clutch, the engine turns off. It never did this before. Can someone help me fix this problem i am haveing.

A descpshion on what to do step by step would be super helpful.

I just inherited a motor scooter. The battery and wiring is fine, but it won’t start. The engine clicks when I use the electric start but it doesn’t turn over. The kick start is stuck in position and doesn’t kick down even when you apply a lot of force. I assumed that one of the pistons was stuck and tried changing the oil, which was dirty. I have waited a few days to let the oil settle, but the kick start still won’t budge. What can I do to test or fix this problem? It is a TN’G 49 CC.

I’m a 27-year-old college student majoring in psychology. I’ve got a wife and three beautiful kids; 2 girls (1 and 2), and a boy (5). I have a 4.0 GPA and I’m in an academic honors program. I’m not stupid, by a stretch, but I can’t figure out what to do about this situation.

Here’s the skinny:

My neighbors are complete idiots with zero regard or respect for anyone else in the neighborhood. They bump their ridiculously loud stereo and shake my windows and walls hourly, they drive this gas powered remote control car around the neighborhood, and they attach a motor to anything with wheels on it and are totally irresponsible with their brood of children. There is always a flux of frequent but brief traffic at their place. Many in-and-out visits, given their high class nature and my experience, they’re probably selling some type of illegal substance. We’ve had words a handful of times, but I try to remain peaceful if only to keep myself and my family safe. I’d really love to beat the crap out of "Daddy," but where would that get me besides the clink? The thing that gets me is the complete disregard for other neighbors and more importantly, the safety of their children. The Dad will pick up his 6 year old daughter on a motor scooter and drive her home from school at stupid speeds without her having so much as a helmet. What can I do about that? I live in Kansas, and I don’t know what all the laws are, but I’m sure that is NOT legal. The adults will do things like put a motor on a bicycle, tie a skateboard to it and drag a 12-year-old kid behind it, on a skateboard attached with a rope. Can a file any kind of report with SRS or something? I have no proof of anything (do I need it?), and YES I hate these people, but I could let it go were they not blatantly endangering their children. What’s a guy to do? I can call the police all I want and whine about this and whine about that, but I just don’t see it getting anywhere or doing any good. Best case scenario, a patrol car drives by their house slowly and nothing ever happens. I want to make a difference. For the good people living in my neighborhood and especially for those kids. (I’m not a zealot who thinks he knows the right way to raise everyone children, but endangering kids the way they do is unacceptable). Maybe I’m trying to convince myself that I’m not an elitist (if I were, would I be living in this neighborhood?), but these people are the bane of the neighborhood! HELP!!!

I confronted mom once about he loud music and she got all mouthy. I told her there was no reason to have the music that loud, and she seemed to think there was nothing wrong with it. I told her if she didn’t feel like cooperating, I could just call the police every time she rounded the corner. She replied, "Go ahead. They ain’t gonna do nothin!’ The lady on the corner calls the cops all the time and they don’t do nothin.’" Dad came over and said, "Hey, hey, why are you being difficult, we’ll turn it down. Sorry." I think he was being amicable because he heard the words "call" and "police," and didn’t want them around all that often due to what may be their supplemental (or primary) source of income. After this encounter, they’re music again became progressively louder… of course.

I’m sick of this and I would move the family, but it’s extremely difficult to find adequate housing (especially finding good people to rent from, which we have). HELP!!!
I appreciate the answers thus far. A note: I don’t live in an apartment building. It’s a regular old suburban neighborhood with houses and duplexes. If it were an apartment building, I’m sure I could have had them out by now.

hi if no1 minds answering this i was wondering if anyone can please help me find a 50cc motor scooter that goes 80 mpg+ for 0 or less and that takes Money Order/Postal Cash rather it is used or not really need help and please dont say scooter depo they r still to high for me need it to be Street Legal and if possible under 0 if cant help np will give best answer asap im 16 turnin 17 im under my dads name need a ride to work every day after and befor school have my motors permit got a job at mcdonalds and need to beat gas prices but under 0 if possible if not np 0 the most a 50CC engine Motor Scooter is good enuff till can afford a 150cc might be going for my GED very very soon
