You save a LOT of money on gas. I have my eyes set on the 2010 honda SH150i, but it costs around 5k. Im 17 and do not have a job. I was thinking of working park time during the winter full time in the summer. Would I make 3000 thousand or more by next September (when i start college).
my parents offered to pay around 2k but no more. I initially wanted to buy the honda elite its cheaper but i cant take it the highway and that would be a huge challenge. I mean buying a used car would cost about the same right? and you would be ending up throwing your money on gas.
Also is a scooter a good way to commune to school ???

These are some tips how I remolded my damaged parts on my moped to look new again since the parts are no longer available.

First off, I’m skinny, weight is not an issue. I checked air filter, spark plug, and check to make sure hoses and things were intact. I changed motor oil and the gear oil. I havent looked in the carb yet cuz i have never done that. It looked great like 4 months ago though. Im not sure what all the battery would do while its running. THIS is an example of what happens– i pull out of drive way, it picks up( still not as fast as it did) and about 200 feet or so later it just winds down slowly until it just dies out. THEN after it dies, when i try to start it, the sound of it starting sounds funnier than usual. i could explain it like– a heart monitor. The normal beat would be the normal winding sound of pretty much any car or whatever. Mine kinda flatlines– like one long winding sound without a break- like wuhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh……. rather than wuh..wuh..wuh..wuh..wuh. But it eventually starts. It also wants to die on me when stopped sometimes. Its NOT the idle. Moped dealer miles away.
When it eventually starts and when i dont let it die, its slow. I could easily do 35, 40, 45. Now it varies like 15 at first and barely makes it past 30-35 downhill!!
It sounds fine when starting normally. After it dies and i try to start it, then it goes wuhhhhhhhhhhhh.
Im worried about taking the gearbox cover off. It has a belt and i wonder if that might be it and possibly another problem somewhere else. Im gonna take it somewhere but certain places( except a bike shop– a real bike shop!!lol) wont mess with it cuz its not a "Honda" or "Yamaha". If i just had a clue of what it was so i or someone i know could fix it. Thanks for your time.
