My gas scooter’s pull start is brocken and electric start wont work. It was working an hour ago. I removed the pull start to look at the electric start. The motor that starts the engine moves but there are sparks and smoke. Also the engine makes no sound when I try to start it. What might be the problem. hello im thinking about buying a 125cc gas powered scooter and the guy i talked to said i could take a safty class at the local dmv and get a class j endoresment for taking the class i live in tucson arizona is this true if its not true then what do i need to do so i can legaly ride my 125cc gas scooter thanks

Its a 49cc gas scooter fs507. I’ve tried to find info on it but come up empty.

I recently brought out my two year old stand up Razorback V2 49cc gas scooter. It’s a piece of crap made in China I know, but it started right away, even though there was 2 year old gas still in the tank. By the way we use a drill with a socket driver on the end to start it after the starter broke. Every time I would ride it, it would stop by itself after going full throttle for any amount of time, but it would start right up again. It worked that way for about two days, and I went through a tank of gas, and it suddenly wouldn’t begin to start. It seems there is alot of resistance in turning over the motor. It even overheated my cordless drill. ANY IDEAS WHY IT WONT START ANY MORE?

Ive got a 49cc (i belive) gas scooter, the stand up models.
Me being a independant person i decided to "half ass clean" (more like inspect)
The carb.

yesterday it didnt die on me once, just ran kinda funny. It would reach its highest speed and id have to let the throttle back a little and rev it back up (It reached top speed and decreased, then itd come back up and back down again). Anyways i noticed when i took the carb off, the little gasket that goes between the carb and the motor was really thin and flimsey (didnt even look or feel like rubber, more like worn out cardboard). I screwed the carb back on and now the motor wants to die unless i let the throttle down and rev it up. To start the engine i have to hold the throttle all the way back.
Do i just need to replace that gasket? or what? the ideling screw is 2 1/2 turns like it should be.. Please help me out.

Okay I have a Panterra Transport gas scooter thats about 4 years old (not highway legal it only goes 27mph, so I guess it’s considered a "recreational scooter") that has lights, speedometer and an electric start with traditional pull start (like a chainsaw). Well for some reason, the electrical part doesn’t seem to work. Every time I put in a spark plug (where one is supposed to go) it pops. The motor still runs but I dont have lights or the easy electric start. I’ve lost the manual and obviously Panterra doesnt have a website for help. I can’t even find the one I have because it doesnt have a model number and it isn’t a "road legal" scooter that requires a license.

Is it something wrong with the wiring or is it the battery? Any advice will help.

i just got this mosquito 26cc gas scooter and i don’t know how it works or how to start it up and i rlly want to ride it, it has gas in it and everything i pulled then motor string like a hundred times and it wont start i even tried pushin the gas and the red button while pullin the string
